Position overview

A growing Irvine practice is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of experience to work across employment litigation defense, traditional labor law and employment counseling. The position offers a varied practice and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across offices.

The Work

  • Contribute to the defense of complex employment and other litigation matters, working with the practice group on case preparation and related legal analysis.
  • Work on class and representative actions, as well as single-plaintiff matters, developing experience across different forms of employment disputes.
  • Support traditional labor law matters as your background and the needs of the practice align.
  • Assist with employment counseling, addressing workplace issues through legal analysis and advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices as part of a growing Labor & Employment practice.

What You Bring

  • Three to five years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience in employment or other complex litigation defense is desired.
  • Experience with class and representative actions and single-plaintiff actions is relevant to the role.
  • A background in traditional labor law and/or employment counseling is valued.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team across offices.
  • Order of the Coif, law review, or clerkship experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$455,000; actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
