Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation practice in Charlotte. The role involves sensitive matters and collaboration with partners and clients across the country and internationally.

The Work

  • Work with partners and clients on sensitive government investigations and white collar litigation matters involving individuals and corporate clients.
  • Contribute to civil, criminal, and congressional investigations and enforcement matters at the federal and state levels.
  • Support representation of clients across industries in matters involving the intersection of business, politics, and law.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients across the United States and internationally as matters require.
  • Participate in work within a national practice of more than 80 attorneys handling investigations and litigation.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of experience as an associate in government investigations, white collar litigation, or a closely related practice.
  • Experience or demonstrated familiarity with civil, criminal, or congressional investigations and enforcement matters.
  • Understanding of federal and state investigative or enforcement proceedings.
  • Ability to contribute to matters representing individual and corporate clients across industries.
  • Strong collaborative and client-facing capabilities for working with partners and clients on sensitive matters.

The firm also offers benefits, hours and merit bonus opportunities, and billable-hours credit for pro bono work.

Estimated compensation is $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
