Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its New York financial services practice. The group serves U.S. and international financial institutions and fintech clients through regulatory, litigation, legislative, and transactional work.
The Work
- Advise financial institution and fintech clients on complex regulatory issues affecting the financial services industry.
- Work on bank regulatory matters involving areas such as anti-money laundering, consumer protection, fintech, and cryptocurrency.
- Support financial institution chartering and licensing matters, helping clients address applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with investigations and administrative enforcement actions involving financial services clients.
- Represent clients in legislative matters related to the financial services industry.
- Contribute to a practice that handles a range of regulatory and transactional issues alongside litigation and legislative work.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of relevant legal experience, consistent with a mid-level associate profile.
- Experience and a continued interest in one or more of the following: bank regulation, anti-money laundering, consumer protection, fintech, chartering, or cryptocurrency.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Currently licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in Washington, DC.
- Experience representing clients before or working at the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN, or state banking agencies is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated New York salary range is $235,000–$365,000, commensurate with experience, and associates may be eligible for an hours-based bonus.
