Position overview

Our client is seeking a Financial Restructuring Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its New York City practice. The role involves complex in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters and requires strong analytical and writing skills, sound matter management, and effective communication with clients and colleagues.

The Work

  • Represent debtors, creditors, investors, and other stakeholders in complex financial restructuring matters.
  • Contribute to in-court restructuring matters, working through issues affecting parties with differing interests.
  • Work on out-of-court restructurings and support clients through complex restructuring situations.
  • Manage multiple matters while coordinating effectively with colleagues across a sophisticated deal team.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues as matters progress and stakeholder needs evolve.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of relevant legal experience, including at least three years practicing at a leading law firm.
  • Significant experience representing debtors, creditors, investors, or other stakeholders in complex restructurings.
  • Experience with both in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce clear, effective legal writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively as part of a sophisticated deal team.
  • Effective communication skills when working with clients and colleagues.

Compensation & Benefits

The supplied base-compensation range of $260,000–$390,000 is an estimate derived from the 2026 Cravath base scale, not firm-stated compensation.
