Position overview

A Palo Alto opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level associate to contribute to IP and technology transactions while collaborating with colleagues across offices and practice areas. M&A experience is also valued, offering a platform to apply complementary transactional experience within a connected team.

The Work

  • Contribute to matters handled by an IP and technology transactions team based in Palo Alto.
  • Bring experience in IP and technology transactions to work conducted across offices and practice areas.
  • Apply law firm experience with M&A transactions as part of the transactional practice mix.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys across teams and offices on shared legal work.
  • Participate in the firm's pro bono program, where attorneys may receive credit for time devoted to causes aligned with community legal needs.

What You Bring

  • Junior-to-mid-level associate; the target class years are 2024 through 2021.
  • Experience in IP and technology transactions.
  • Solid law firm experience with M&A transactions is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team across offices and practice areas.
  • High academic achievement is preferred.
  • Active membership in the California bar is ideal.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated annual base salary range is $235,000–$390,000, with possible eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus.
