Our client is seeking an associate with 2–6 years of experience to join its Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits team in Dallas. The practice handles executive compensation, equity and other incentive compensation, and ERISA work, with an emphasis on the first two areas and a combination of transactional and general advisory matters.
The Work
- Advise on executive compensation matters in both transaction-related and general advisory settings.
- Work on equity compensation arrangements and other incentive compensation matters, including related transactional and advisory issues.
- Contribute to transaction-related executive compensation and employee benefits work as part of a broader deal team.
- Address ERISA matters alongside executive compensation and incentive compensation assignments.
- Support ongoing client advisory work across the team’s executive compensation, incentive compensation, and ERISA practice areas.
- Develop responsibility for substantive work across a practice mix that combines transactional assignments with general counseling.
What You Bring
- Two to six years of legal experience, consistent with the associate position sought.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in executive compensation and employee benefits law.
- Knowledge of equity compensation and other incentive compensation matters.
- Exposure to ERISA work or a foundation in employee benefits law.
- Ability to contribute to both transaction-related matters and general advisory assignments.
- Strong legal analysis, drafting, and communication skills appropriate for client-facing legal work.
- Law school class years 2020–2024 are within the experience range identified for this search.
