Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its corporate practice group in Los Angeles. The role focuses on project development transactions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects and the agreements that support them.

The Work

  • Advise on EPC projects and related project development transactions, helping clients address contractual and transactional considerations.
  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts, taking responsibility for developing clear, workable terms for project arrangements.
  • Prepare and negotiate project agreements that support project development and execution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate other key transaction documents connected with EPC projects and project development matters.
  • Work directly on transaction documents and negotiations, applying judgment to move matters forward and address client needs.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of experience in project development and transactions.
  • Experience advising on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate EPC contracts and related project agreements.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and negotiating other key transaction documents.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm or in-house experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation of $260,000–$390,000 is an estimate based on the 2026 Cravath base scale, not confirmed firm-stated compensation.
