Join a sponsor-focused national practice working at the forefront of clean-energy project development and commercial transactions. You will help structure and negotiate energy supply arrangements across diverse technologies, customers, electric markets, and regulatory environments.
The Work
- Draft and negotiate project-development contracts, including power purchase agreements, energy service contracts, and other offtake arrangements.
- Develop framework commercial agreements and support joint venture transactions for energy-sector clients.
- Serve as a go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions, coordinating related financing support.
- Adapt commercial structures for solar, wind, geothermal, natural gas, battery, and nuclear projects.
- Work on energy procurement and integration arrangements for utility buyers, islanded data centers, and behind-the-meter commercial and industrial customers.
- Engage directly each day with clients, partners, and counterparty counsel while helping manage matter communications and project workflow.
What You Bring
- Three to seven years of transactional legal experience, with a focus on the energy sector.
- Experience or a strong interest in structuring and negotiating energy project offtake transactions.
- Ability to draft and negotiate power purchase agreements, energy service contracts, or other commercial energy arrangements.
- Familiarity with project development, framework commercial agreements, or joint venture transactions.
- Experience with project or portfolio acquisitions and related financing support is valuable.
- Strong communication and project-management skills, including the ability to work directly with clients and counterparty counsel.
- Interest in a range of energy technologies, customer offtakers, electric markets, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm-stated salary range is $260,000–$420,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available, as well as benefits including healthcare, paid parental leave, family-building support, retirement plans, and firm-paid CLE and bar dues.
