Join a national, sponsor-focused clean energy practice advising developers, technology companies, utilities, and major energy buyers on complex commercial arrangements. You will help structure projects and power-supply solutions across established and emerging technologies, with direct client involvement and a broad view of the energy market.
The Work
- Draft and negotiate project-development contracts, including power purchase agreements, energy service contracts, and other offtake arrangements.
- Structure and negotiate commercial frameworks and joint venture transactions supporting energy projects and businesses.
- Serve as a go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions, coordinating transaction work and providing related financing support.
- Advise on commercial structures for solar, wind, geothermal, natural gas, battery, and nuclear projects.
- Work with a range of energy buyers, including utilities procuring large-scale renewable power, data center operators, and commercial and industrial customers integrating clean energy, storage, and efficiency measures.
- Engage directly with clients, partners, and counterparty counsel while managing communications and matter workflows.
- Collaborate with lawyers working across project development, commercial transactions, project finance and securitization, corporate finance, and energy regulatory matters.
What You Bring
- Three to seven years of experience as an associate, with a transactional focus in the energy sector.
- Experience drafting and negotiating project-development contracts, including power purchase agreements, energy service contracts, or other offtake arrangements.
- Ability to work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions.
- Experience or demonstrated capability supporting project and portfolio acquisitions and related financing matters.
- Interest in developing deep experience structuring and negotiating energy project offtake transactions.
- Ability to adapt commercial structures to different project technologies, electric markets, regulatory requirements, and customer types.
- Strong communication and project management skills, including comfort with regular direct client and counterparty-counsel contact.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $260,000-$420,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available, alongside benefits that include paid parental leave, family-building support, wellness resources, and firm-paid CLE and bar expenses.
