Position overview

Join a mission-driven practice advising on complex energy and infrastructure project development in New York City. This associate or counsel role offers the chance to work on projects across established and emerging technologies, including first-of-a-kind developments.

The Work

  • Advise on engineering and construction law matters connected to energy and infrastructure project development.
  • Work with commercial procurement contracts that support the development of energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Support solar PV, standalone battery storage, and combined solar-plus-storage projects.
  • Contribute to matters involving wind, geothermal, nuclear, carbon capture and storage, direct air capture, and carbon removal.
  • Work on projects involving transportation fuels, EV charging, hydrogen, fuel cells, combined heat and power, and renewable chemicals.
  • Advise on project development involving data centers and transmission, alongside a broad range of other energy technologies.

What You Bring

  • Four to eight years of experience in engineering and construction law matters.
  • Experience with commercial procurement contracts in energy or infrastructure project development.
  • Ability to handle legal issues arising in engineering and construction matters.
  • Experience working with commercial contracts that support project development.
  • Interest in complex energy and infrastructure projects, including emerging or first-of-a-kind technologies.
  • Candidates at the associate or counsel level are considered.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm-stated salary range is $310,000–$435,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
