Our client is seeking an associate or counsel with 4–8 years of experience to advise on engineering, construction, and commercial procurement matters in energy and infrastructure project development. Based in Seattle, this opportunity offers work on complex projects across a wide range of established and emerging technologies.
The Work
- Handle engineering and construction law matters connected to energy and infrastructure project development.
- Advise on commercial procurement contracts supporting the development of energy and infrastructure projects.
- Work across solar PV, stand-alone battery storage, solar-plus-storage, wind, geothermal, and nuclear projects.
- Support matters involving carbon capture and storage, direct air capture, carbon removal, biomass, and transportation fuels.
- Engage with project work in EV charging, hydrogen, fuel cells, combined heat and power, and renewable chemicals.
- Contribute to work involving data centers and transmission, alongside other complex and often first-of-a-kind projects.
What You Bring
- 4–8 years of experience in engineering and construction law matters.
- Experience with commercial procurement contracts in energy and infrastructure project development.
- Relevant experience advising on legal matters connected to engineering and construction projects.
- Ability to work across commercial contracts and project development issues in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience or interest in complex projects involving energy, climate solutions, or infrastructure technologies.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $310,000–$435,000, based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available.
