Our client is seeking an associate with 2–5 years of experience for its Employment & Trade Secret practice in Los Angeles. The role combines management-side employment litigation with practical counseling for companies ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 businesses across technology, life sciences, green energy, and cleantech.
The Work
- Litigate significant management-side employment matters, including trade secret misappropriation claims, non-compete disputes, and other employment-related contract issues.
- Work on high-profile sexual harassment and discrimination matters, contributing to case strategy, briefing, and other phases of litigation.
- Conduct internal investigations and advise clients on workplace issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, and the review and drafting of employment policies.
- Counsel fast-growing companies on employment mobility matters involving trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and employee non-solicitation.
- Advise on employment-related issues in mergers and acquisitions, spin-outs, and other corporate transactions, working with clients on the employment dimensions of complex business matters.
What You Bring
- Two to five years of experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling.
- Considerable experience litigating employment law cases.
- Experience advising clients on day-to-day employment issues, including terminations, leaves, and workplace policies.
- Knowledge of employment mobility issues, including trade secrets, non-competes, and employee non-solicitation.
- Experience advising on employment matters in mergers, acquisitions, or other corporate transactions is sought.
- California Bar membership is preferred; the preferred office locations include Century City, Palo Alto, and San Francisco.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $235,000–$365,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
