Position overview

Our client is seeking a Debt Finance Associate with 3–6 years of experience for its Charlotte office. The practice handles complex public and private debt transactions, financings, and restructuring and refinancing matters across established and emerging industries.

The Work

  • Support financing transactions involving senior credit facilities, second lien facilities, mezzanine facilities, and bridge facilities.
  • Contribute to public and private high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, including matters involving issuers, underwriters, placement agents, initial purchasers, and other credit parties.
  • Assist with institutional private placements and other debt securities transactions across a wide range of industries.
  • Work on financing, refinancing, and recapitalization transactions for companies in established and emerging industries.
  • Support exchange offers, tender offers, and consent solicitations related to high-yield securities.
  • Contribute to restructuring matters, including complex plans intended to revive troubled businesses and protect bondholder investments.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of experience as an associate in debt finance or a closely related transactional practice.
  • Experience with senior or second lien credit facilities, mezzanine financings, or bridge facilities.
  • Familiarity with high-yield or investment-grade debt offerings and debt securities transactions.
  • Exposure to institutional private placements and the roles of issuers, underwriters, placement agents, or initial purchasers.
  • Experience or interest in debt refinancing, recapitalization, exchange offers, tender offers, or consent solicitations.
  • Ability to contribute to complex financing and restructuring matters involving companies across a range of industries.

Estimated compensation is $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
