Our client is seeking an attorney to help companies navigate high-stakes cybersecurity incidents and evolving privacy, AI, and cybersecurity regulation. This Austin opportunity offers substantial responsibility within a growing practice serving leading technology companies.

The Work

  • Advise companies responding to cybersecurity incidents, helping guide incident response and crisis management as complex legal and regulatory issues emerge.
  • Represent clients in investigations related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy, and assist with regulatory defense.
  • Counsel companies on cybersecurity and privacy best practices and regulatory compliance, translating evolving requirements into practical guidance.
  • Provide cybersecurity expertise to companies engaged in technology and corporate transactions, addressing issues that arise in connection with those deals.
  • Advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance related to security research and threat intelligence activities.
  • Take on significant responsibility across a growing practice serving leading technology companies as they address increasingly complex cyber, AI, and privacy regulation.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of relevant legal experience, including experience with incident response, cybersecurity investigations, private-sector cybersecurity counseling, or cybersecurity-facing work in a government agency.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in cyber incident response, crisis management, regulatory defense, or privacy and cybersecurity counseling.
  • Ability to contribute to investigations involving cybersecurity, AI, and privacy and to advise on related legal and regulatory issues.
  • Relevant experience in a state or federal government agency is valued.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$435,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available.
