This San Francisco opportunity combines high-stakes investigations, practical business counseling, incident response, and global compliance work.
The Work
- Represent companies in high-stakes privacy and data security investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission and state Attorneys General.
- Advise clients on collecting, using, and sharing data while navigating complex privacy laws across global markets.
- Help companies develop practical business and legal responses to security breaches.
- Create, enhance, and audit clients’ privacy and cybersecurity policies and programs.
- Develop and implement global compliance programs addressing privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, and related regulatory issues.
- Counsel innovative companies on emerging AI regulatory issues and the intersection of technology and government regulation.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of relevant associate experience.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, and related regulatory issues.
- Experience advising on data collection, use, and sharing, privacy compliance, or privacy and cybersecurity programs.
- Strong writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Experience with technology industries, government regulation and technology, or FTC privacy and data security policy and enforcement is desirable.
- Familiarity with computer programming, network technologies, database design, or web technologies is a plus.
- CIPP certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $260,000–$390,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
