Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to join a growing Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practice in San Francisco. This role offers significant responsibility advising leading technology companies as they respond to cyber incidents and navigate evolving cybersecurity, AI, and privacy requirements.
The Work
- Help companies manage cybersecurity incidents and related crises, advising on response issues and supporting work that may lead to regulatory defense.
- Represent clients in investigations involving cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy, helping them address complex regulatory and legal questions.
- Counsel private-sector organizations on cybersecurity best practices, privacy and cybersecurity issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide cybersecurity expertise in technology and corporate transactions, helping companies evaluate issues connected to their business activities.
- Advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance relating to security research and threat intelligence activities.
- Work with leading technology companies as they confront increasingly complex cyber, AI, and privacy regulation.
What You Bring
- At least three years of relevant experience in incident response, cybersecurity investigations, private-sector cybersecurity counseling, or cybersecurity-facing government work.
- Experience handling cybersecurity incidents, investigations, crisis management, or regulatory defense is relevant to the practice.
- Strong knowledge of privacy and cybersecurity issues, including counseling on best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Experience involving AI or privacy investigations, technology transactions, security research, or threat intelligence is relevant.
- Relevant cybersecurity or privacy experience at a state or federal government agency is valued.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and superior academic credentials.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm-stated salary range is $260,000–$435,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
