A growing practice in Washington, DC, is seeking an attorney to help companies respond to cyber incidents and navigate complex cybersecurity, AI, and privacy regulation. This role brings substantial responsibility across crisis response, investigations, regulatory defense, and counseling for leading technology companies.
The Work
- Help companies respond to cybersecurity incidents, coordinate crisis management, and address the legal and regulatory issues that arise during fast-moving events.
- Represent clients in investigations involving cybersecurity, AI, and privacy, and contribute to regulatory defense strategies.
- Counsel companies on cybersecurity and privacy best practices, regulatory compliance, and complex legal questions arising in the private sector.
- Provide cybersecurity expertise to clients undertaking technology and corporate transactions.
- Advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance related to security research and threat intelligence activities.
- Take significant responsibility on matters in a growing practice serving leading technology companies.
What You Bring
- Three or more years of relevant experience in incident response, cybersecurity investigations, private-sector cybersecurity counseling, or cybersecurity work within a government agency.
- Experience advising on cybersecurity or privacy matters, regulatory compliance, or investigations.
- Ability to contribute to incident response, crisis management, and regulatory defense matters.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and superior academic credentials.
- Relevant cybersecurity and privacy experience with a state or federal government agency is valued.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $260,000–$435,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
