Join a growing practice advising leading technology companies as they respond to cybersecurity incidents, address complex investigations, and navigate evolving cyber, AI, and privacy regulation. This San Diego opportunity offers significant responsibility across urgent response work, regulatory defense, counseling, and technology-related transactions.

The Work

  • Advise companies responding to cybersecurity incidents, including crisis management and related legal and regulatory issues.
  • Represent clients in investigations involving cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy matters.
  • Counsel companies on cybersecurity and privacy best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide cybersecurity expertise in connection with technology and corporate transactions.
  • Advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance issues related to security research and threat intelligence activities.
  • Take on significant responsibility serving leading technology companies as they address complex and evolving legal challenges.

What You Bring

  • Three or more years of relevant experience in incident response, cybersecurity investigations, private-sector cybersecurity counseling, or cybersecurity-facing government work.
  • Experience or a demonstrated interest in cyber incident response, crisis management, regulatory defense, or cybersecurity counseling.
  • Relevant privacy or cybersecurity experience within a state or federal government agency is valued.
  • Strong legal analysis and the ability to address complex cybersecurity, AI, and privacy issues.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and superior academic credentials.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$435,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available.
