Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with 3–5 years of finance experience to join its Chicago team. The practice advises investors, companies, and financial institutions on a broad range of debt finance matters, including complex financings and debt restructurings across industries and capital structures. This position requires in-person work.
The Work
- Advise private credit, private equity, and other investment funds, public and private companies, and financial institutions on accessing and deploying capital.
- Work on direct lending transactions to private equity sponsors in connection with acquisitions, as well as other credit investments.
- Assist with financing solutions for stressed and distressed companies and growth capital transactions for emerging technology companies.
- Represent sponsors and portfolio companies in large-cap and middle-market debt finance matters, including leveraged buyouts and domestic and cross-border acquisitions.
- Work on senior secured debt, high-yield and bridge financings, and asset-based facilities, along with general corporate finance matters.
- Support debt restructuring matters, with the practice representing both creditors and debtors.
- Engage with bespoke financings spanning different capital structures, industries, and asset classes.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of finance experience.
- Comparable law firm experience.
- Stellar academic credentials.
- Admission in good standing to the bar of the state in which you intend to practice.
- Experience or familiarity with debt finance matters, including leveraged financings, acquisition finance, or private credit.
- Ability to work in person.
