Position overview

Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with 1–5 years of experience to join its San Francisco practice. The role focuses on commercial finance and debt capital markets for technology and growth companies, ranging from venture-backed startups to public market leaders.

The Work

  • Assist with debt capital markets matters for issuers of convertible, high-yield, and investment-grade bonds, supporting transactions through their documentation and execution.
  • Work on broadly syndicated, club, and bilateral corporate credit facilities for borrowers, contributing to financing matters from development through closing.
  • Support acquisition financings and asset-based lending transactions, engaging with the distinct financing structures and documentation involved.
  • Contribute to venture debt matters for companies at earlier stages of growth, as well as financings for established public market companies.
  • Collaborate across a fast-paced corporate finance practice serving technology and growth-company clients.

What You Bring

  • One to five years of experience in commercial finance, debt capital markets, or a combination of both.
  • Transactional experience involving bond issuances, including convertible, high-yield, or investment-grade bonds.
  • Experience with broadly syndicated, club, or bilateral corporate credit facilities is valued.
  • Familiarity with acquisition financings, asset-based lending, or venture debt is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated transactional capability.
  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction relevant to the San Francisco office.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $225,000–$365,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
