Position overview

Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with 3–5 years of finance experience to join its debt finance practice in Houston. The work spans private credit, private equity finance, corporate finance, and debt restructuring for investors, companies, and financial institutions.

The Work

  • Advise credit investors on structuring private credit investments, including direct lending to private equity sponsors in connection with acquisitions.
  • Work on financing solutions for stressed and distressed companies and growth capital transactions for emerging technology businesses.
  • Support large-cap and middle-market debt finance matters for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, including leveraged buyouts and domestic and cross-border acquisitions.
  • Participate in a range of leveraged financings, including senior secured debt, high-yield and bridge financings, and asset-based facilities.
  • Represent debtors and creditors in debt restructuring matters.
  • Contribute to general corporate finance matters and bespoke financings across capital structures, industries, and asset classes.

What You Bring

  • Three to five years of finance experience.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to, and good standing with, the bar of the state in which you intend to practice.
  • Experience or demonstrated capability relevant to debt finance transactions, including private credit or leveraged finance matters.
  • Ability to contribute to financing matters involving acquisitions, private equity sponsors, companies, or financial institutions.
