Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with 3–5 years of finance experience to join its New York City Debt Finance practice. The team advises private credit, private equity and other investment funds, public and private companies, and financial institutions on capital deployment, financings and debt restructurings across industries and asset classes.
The Work
- Advise private credit investors on structuring and executing direct lending transactions, including loans to private equity sponsors in connection with acquisitions.
- Work on financing solutions for stressed and distressed companies and growth capital transactions for emerging technology businesses.
- Represent private equity sponsors and portfolio companies in large-cap and middle-market debt finance matters, including leveraged buyouts and other leveraged financings.
- Support domestic and cross-border acquisitions, including the related financing structures and transaction documentation.
- Work on senior secured debt, high-yield and bridge financings, and asset-based credit facilities.
- Advise clients on general corporate finance matters and financing needs across a range of capital structures.
- Contribute to debt restructuring matters, representing both debtor and creditor clients.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of finance experience.
- Comparable law firm experience and strong academic credentials.
- Admission to, and good standing with, the bar of the state in which you intend to practice.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in debt finance transactions and related legal analysis.
- Strong drafting and transaction-management skills appropriate to financing and acquisition matters.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and deal teams across complex financing transactions.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated New York City base salary range is $225,000–$420,000.
