Position overview

Our client is seeking a lawyer with 3 or more years of law-firm experience to join its Energy & Infrastructure Projects practice in Washington, D.C. The work combines financing with acquisitions, joint ventures and project development transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

The Work

  • Contribute to debt financings involving energy and infrastructure projects, applying strong financing experience to client matters.
  • Work on tax equity financings as part of the practice’s energy and infrastructure transaction mix.
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions involving energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with joint venture transactions connected to energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Work on project development transactions, alongside the group’s financing and investment-related matters.
  • Deliver high-quality work product and service to clients across a range of transaction types.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of law-firm experience; the search is directed to lawyers with approximately 3–6 years of experience.
  • Strong financing experience is required.
  • Experience with debt financings is sought.
  • Experience with tax equity financings is sought.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and project development transactions involving energy and infrastructure projects is valued.
  • A high level of academic achievement is expected.
  • A commitment to producing high-quality work product and providing strong client service is important.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated annual base salary range is $260,000–$455,000, with actual compensation determined by skills, experience and other job-related factors; the role may also be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
