Position overview

Our client is seeking a New York-based associate with approximately six years of experience to join its M&A group. The practice handles a variety of public and private transactions and works collaboratively with lawyers across practice areas.

The Work

  • Contribute to a variety of public M&A transactions as part of the group’s deal work.
  • Work on private M&A transactions, building experience across a broad range of transaction contexts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other practice areas to support matters that call for cross-practice teamwork.
  • Bring mid-level associate experience to a New York M&A team handling both public and private transactions.

What You Bring

  • Approximately six years of legal experience; candidates in the class of 2020 or 2021 are sought.
  • Broad experience working on a variety of public M&A transactions.
  • Broad experience working on a variety of private M&A transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of teams across practice areas.
  • High academic achievement is preferred.
  • Experience at a peer firm is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated expected starting base salary is $365,000–$390,000, and the position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
