Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with 1–7 years of experience to advise on the privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues that shape corporate and technology transactions. The work spans sophisticated deals for private and public companies across dynamic industries.

The Work

  • Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters arising in mergers and acquisitions, including the issues that emerge as companies evaluate and execute transactions.
  • Support public offerings by addressing privacy and data considerations relevant to capital markets transactions.
  • Counsel on data-related aspects of commercial and strategic transactions, applying privacy and cybersecurity knowledge to a range of deal contexts.
  • Work with private and public companies of varying sizes across industries such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.
  • Contribute to a broad transactional practice that includes mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, and other corporate work.

What You Bring

  • 1–7 years of legal experience, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, or other transactional work required.
  • A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with technology industries is desirable.
  • Experience with regulatory policy or enforcement is desirable.
  • CIPP certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm-stated salary range is $225,000–$420,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
