Our client is seeking a Corporate Associate with 4-6 years of experience for its Austin Corporate and Securities practice. The team represents clients in technology and life sciences and is considering candidates with experience in one or more of venture financings, private equity, private-company mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters for private companies.
The Work
- Represent private companies in general corporate matters, advising on the range of legal issues arising in their ongoing business operations.
- Work on venture financings, supporting clients through private-company financing transactions.
- Contribute to private-company mergers and acquisitions, handling corporate transaction work for clients in the technology and life sciences industries.
- Participate in private equity matters and related corporate work, based on your experience and practice focus.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Corporate and Securities practice to serve clients with a broad range of corporate and securities needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues while advancing matters as part of a team.
What You Bring
- 4-6 years of legal experience in one or more relevant corporate practice areas.
- Experience with venture financings, private equity, private-company M&A, or general corporate matters for private companies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong academic credentials.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $310,000-$390,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
