Our client is seeking a senior associate with at least four years of law-firm experience dedicated to transactional tax matters. The role offers work across complex domestic and cross-border transactions, with clients and matters spanning multiple industries and practice areas.
The Work
- Advise on tax issues and structuring in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, working with deal teams on transaction-related tax matters.
- Handle partnership tax matters and contribute tax analysis to private equity fund formation engagements.
- Support tax work in capital markets transactions and financings, including the analysis of tax considerations that arise in those matters.
- Work with clients such as multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity funds, domestic corporations, joint ventures, emerging companies, SPACs, and tax-exempt organizations.
- Collaborate with tax colleagues across offices and disciplines to develop practical, commercially focused solutions to complex transactional tax issues.
What You Bring
- At least four years of law-firm experience dedicated to transactional tax matters.
- Experience with domestic and cross-border M&A tax matters.
- Experience handling partnership tax matters and/or private equity fund formation.
- Experience with transactional tax issues in capital markets or financings.
- Ability to address complex tax questions with practical, commercially oriented analysis.

Compensation of approximately $310,000–$435,000 is an estimate based on the 2026 Cravath base scale, not a firm-stated range; discretionary bonuses may be available depending on application circumstances and position.
