Our client is seeking a senior associate with at least four years of experience to join a growing Private Equity Finance team in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on borrower-side financings, including sponsor-side private equity acquisition transactions, across private credit and leveraged finance.
The Work
- Advise private equity sponsors and borrowers on financing for acquisitions, helping structure and execute transactions in coordination with clients and other deal participants.
- Work on borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters, contributing through transaction development and execution.
- Handle a range of private credit structures, including first- and second-lien loans, unitranche loans, mezzanine loans, and other junior capital transactions.
- Support sponsor-side acquisition financings in both syndicated lending and private credit markets, addressing deal requirements and financing objectives.
- Engage with matters ranging from middle-market financings to complex, large-scale transactions and work through the issues involved in structuring and completing them.
- Collaborate across a broad financing platform with experience in private capital, M&A, capital markets, and restructuring.
What You Bring
- At least four years of relevant experience as an attorney.
- Experience with borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
- Sponsor-side private equity acquisition finance experience is required.
- Knowledge of private credit and leveraged finance structures, including syndicated and private credit transactions.
- Ability to contribute to the structuring and execution of complex financing transactions and work effectively with clients and deal participants.
