Our client is seeking a senior associate with at least four years of borrower-side finance experience to join a growing Private Equity Finance team in Boston. The role focuses on sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings and other sophisticated transactions across private credit and leveraged finance markets.
The Work
- Advise borrower clients on sponsor-backed private equity acquisition financings, leveraged financings, and other credit transactions.
- Help structure and execute private credit transactions, including first- and second-lien loans, unitranche and mezzanine loans, and junior capital arrangements.
- Work on asset-based lending transactions, including first-in last-out structures, and financing matters across middle-market and large-cap deals.
- Address capital structure, subordination, security, and intercreditor issues in complex financing arrangements.
- Contribute to matters involving restructurings, equity co-investments, and related tax and regulatory considerations.
- Support clients navigating both syndicated lending and private credit markets, including financing in connection with sponsor-led acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
- Experience with sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings is required.
- Experience advising borrowers in complex financing transactions.
- Knowledge of private credit and leveraged finance structures, including syndicated and direct lending transactions.
- Familiarity with loan structures such as first- and second-lien, unitranche, mezzanine, and asset-based facilities.
- Ability to engage with matters involving security, intercreditor arrangements, subordination, restructurings, and related financing considerations.
