Our client is seeking an associate with at least one year of borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience to join a growing Private Equity Finance team in Los Angeles. The team is considering candidates in the second- through fourth-year classes, with sponsor-side private equity acquisition financing experience preferred.
The Work
- Work on borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters, contributing to the execution of financings for clients including private equity sponsors and other borrowers.
- Support sponsor-backed acquisition financings and advise on financing structures across private credit and leveraged markets.
- Work on direct lending transactions, including unitranche, first- and second-lien, mezzanine, and other junior capital structures.
- Contribute to broadly syndicated loan and asset-based lending transactions, including matters involving first-in last-out structures.
- Assist with complex capital structures and related subordination, security, and intercreditor issues.
- Work on transactions that may involve restructurings, equity co-investments, and tax or regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate across a global private capital platform on transactions tailored to clients’ strategies and financing objectives.
What You Bring
- At least one year of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
- Experience appropriate for consideration in the second-, third-, or fourth-year associate class.
- Knowledge of borrower-side financing transactions and the private credit or leveraged finance markets.
- Ability to contribute to the execution of financing transactions and work with teams advising clients on transaction objectives.
- Experience with sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings is preferred.
- Interest or experience in a range of private credit and leveraged finance structures, including syndicated or direct lending transactions.
