Our client is seeking an associate with at least two years of structured finance and securitization experience to join its Los Angeles practice. The team advises a broad range of market participants on complex financing solutions involving traditional and esoteric asset classes.
The Work
- Contribute to structuring and executing bespoke capital-raising and investment transactions designed around clients’ financing needs.
- Work on securitizations involving commercial and esoteric assets, including aircraft leases and related assets, cell and broadcast towers, rental car fleets, and whole business securitizations.
- Support transactions involving traditional asset classes and products, including U.S. and European CLOs, credit card receivables, sub-prime auto loans, cash and synthetic securitizations, and trade receivables.
- Assist with innovative structures and first-time securitizations of new asset classes, addressing the commercial and operational issues that arise in these transactions.
- Work with a range of transaction participants, including issuers, sponsors, banks, investors, funds, insurers, credit enhancers, and liquidity providers.
- Contribute to cross-border matters involving commercial, insolvency, and tax law considerations.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience handling structured finance transactions and securitizations.
- Knowledge of structured finance and securitization concepts, transaction structures, and the needs of relevant market participants.
- Experience with or familiarity with asset-backed transactions and securitizations involving traditional or esoteric assets.
- Ability to contribute to complex financing matters involving commercial and operational considerations.
- Interest in working on innovative structures and transactions involving new asset classes.
- Ability to work on matters with cross-border commercial, insolvency, or tax dimensions.
