Position overview

Our client is seeking a Houston-based Finance Associate with at least two years of experience in structured finance transactions and securitizations. The associate will work on complex financing solutions, including established securitization products and innovative transactions involving new or specialized asset classes.

The Work

  • Contribute to the structuring and execution of bespoke capital-raising and investment transactions designed to address clients’ financing needs.
  • Work on securitizations involving commercial and esoteric assets, including aircraft leases and related assets, cell and broadcast towers, rental car fleets, and whole businesses.
  • Support traditional structured finance transactions, including U.S. and European collateralized loan obligations, credit card receivables, sub-prime auto loans, and trade receivables.
  • Assist with cash and synthetic securitizations and other financing structures involving issuers, sponsors, banks, investors, funds, insurers, credit enhancers, and liquidity providers.
  • Help develop innovative structures and work on first-time securitizations of new asset classes.
  • Address commercial and operational considerations in transactions, drawing on cross-border experience that includes commercial, insolvency, and tax aspects.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of experience in structured finance transactions and securitizations.
  • Working knowledge of structured finance and securitization transactions, including relevant transaction structures and asset classes.
  • Experience contributing to complex financing matters involving multiple transaction participants.
  • Ability to engage with the commercial and operational issues that arise in structured finance transactions.
  • Interest or experience in innovative structures, specialized assets, or first-time securitizations is relevant to the practice.
