Our client is seeking a Structured Finance Associate with at least two years of experience in structured finance transactions and securitizations to join its San Francisco practice. The team advises on bespoke capital-raising and investment solutions, including complex transactions involving both established and emerging asset classes.
The Work
- Contribute to the development and execution of structured finance and securitization transactions, including innovative structures and first-time securitizations of new asset classes.
- Work on U.S. and European collateralized loan obligations, credit card receivables, sub-prime auto loans, trade receivables, and cash and synthetic securitizations.
- Support transactions involving esoteric and off-the-run assets such as aircraft leases and related assets, cell and broadcast towers, rental car fleets, and whole business securitizations.
- Work with transaction participants including issuers, sponsors, banks, investors, funds, insurers, credit enhancers, and liquidity providers.
- Address commercial, insolvency, and tax considerations that arise in structured finance and securitization matters.
- Contribute to cross-border transactions and coordinate across jurisdictions on the commercial and operational issues involved.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in structured finance transactions and securitizations.
- Experience working on structured finance or securitization matters involving complex financing needs.
- Familiarity with traditional securitization products such as CLOs, credit card receivables, auto loans, or trade receivables.
- Exposure to transactions involving esoteric assets or developing asset classes is relevant to the practice.
- Ability to engage with the commercial, insolvency, and tax dimensions of structured finance transactions.
- Experience working with multiple transaction participants, including issuers, sponsors, financial institutions, investors, insurers, or liquidity providers.
