Our client is seeking a senior associate with at least four years of experience to join its Project Development & Finance practice in Houston. The practice represents project lenders and sponsors in complex financings across industrial sectors and geographies, bringing commercial, industry, and global perspectives to transaction execution.
The Work
- Advise project lenders and sponsors on project finance transactions, helping structure deals to meet commercial objectives and provide appropriate value and security.
- Evaluate proposed transactions for potential legal and commercial pitfalls, identify opportunities, and develop practical solutions to move matters toward completion.
- Work on financings across a range of industrial sectors and geographies, including matters involving energy transition issues.
- Support sponsor-side structuring by assessing market terms and helping shape financeable arrangements that provide ongoing value.
- Support lender-side transactions with structuring considerations directed toward successful syndication.
- Draw on regulatory and industry-focused perspectives from colleagues across global offices to address complex project finance matters.
What You Bring
- At least four years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience with project development and/or project finance transactions.
- Experience at a large national or international law firm is preferred.
- Ability to work with the commercial and legal considerations involved in structuring project financings.
- Capability to assess transaction issues and contribute practical solutions through deal execution.
- Experience or interest in representing project lenders and/or sponsors across complex transactions.
