Our client is seeking a Finance Associate with at least two years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience to join its growing lender-side Banking & Private Credit practice in Chicago. The team advises arrangers and direct lenders across syndicated and private markets.
The Work
- Advise arrangers and direct lenders on financing transactions, contributing to deal structuring and execution across syndicated and private credit markets.
- Work on acquisition and leveraged financings, including transactions involving financial sponsors and complex financing structures.
- Support broadly syndicated loan matters and asset-backed lending transactions, helping address the deal-specific requirements of lenders and other market participants.
- Advise on private credit facilities, including first- and second-lien, unitranche, mezzanine, and asset-based loans, as well as preferred equity and other junior capital transactions.
- Contribute to complex capital structures and related issues, which may include subordination, security, intercreditor arrangements, restructurings, and equity co-investments.
- Collaborate across a broad private capital platform to develop financing solutions tailored to client strategies and transaction objectives.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
- Experience relevant to lender-side financing work, including matters for arrangers or direct lenders.
- Knowledge of syndicated lending and/or private credit transactions and their financing structures.
- Ability to contribute to the structuring and execution of complex financing matters.
- Experience with loan products such as first- and second-lien, unitranche, mezzanine, or asset-based loans is relevant.
- Familiarity with capital structure issues, including security, subordination, intercreditor matters, or junior capital, is valuable.
