Our client is seeking an associate with at least two years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance to join a growing Banking & Private Credit practice in Los Angeles. The team represents arrangers and direct lenders across sophisticated financing transactions.
The Work
- Advise arranger and direct-lender clients on financing transactions across private credit and syndicated lending markets.
- Work on leveraged and acquisition financings, supporting transactions from structuring through execution.
- Support direct lending matters involving first- and second-lien loans, unitranche loans, mezzanine loans, and other junior capital.
- Contribute to asset-based lending transactions, including first-in-last-out structures.
- Help develop multi-tiered capital structures and address related subordination, security, and intercreditor issues.
- Work on financings that may involve restructuring considerations, equity co-investments, and tax or regulatory matters.
- Engage with sophisticated financial institutions, private capital providers, and other market participants on matters spanning middle-market to multibillion-dollar transactions.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
- Experience advising or working with lenders, arrangers, or other financing market participants.
- Knowledge of private credit and/or syndicated lending transactions.
- Familiarity with leveraged or acquisition financings and related capital structures.
- Ability to contribute to complex financings involving loan products such as unitranche, first- and second-lien, mezzanine, or asset-based loans.
- Experience with intercreditor, subordination, security, restructuring, equity co-investment, tax, or regulatory considerations is relevant to the practice.
