Position overview

Our client is seeking a Banking & Private Credit associate with at least two years of experience to join its lender-side practice in New York City. The team represents arrangers and direct lenders across private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters.

The Work

  • Advise arrangers and direct lenders on financing transactions across syndicated lending and private credit markets.
  • Contribute to leveraged and acquisition financings, including transactions involving financial sponsors and companies across a range of industries.
  • Work on direct lending matters involving first- and second-lien, unitranche, and mezzanine loans, as well as preferred equity and other junior capital.
  • Support asset-based lending transactions, including first-in-last-out facilities, and broadly syndicated loan matters.
  • Assist with complex capital structures involving subordination, security, intercreditor issues, restructurings, equity co-investments, and tax or regulatory considerations.
  • Work with a team serving credit providers across transactions ranging from middle-market financings to complex, multi-billion-dollar deals.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Experience representing lenders, arrangers, or other credit providers in financing transactions.
  • Knowledge of syndicated lending and/or private credit markets and their financing structures.
  • Ability to analyze financing terms and contribute to the execution of complex lending transactions.
  • Experience with acquisition financings, direct lending, or asset-based lending is relevant to the practice.
