Position overview

Our client is seeking a real estate associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a deal-focused practice handling complex data center and digital infrastructure transactions. The position is based in Costa Mesa and may also involve other commercial real estate matters.

The Work

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and financing documents for complex real estate transactions.
  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, and development of data center assets and platforms, contributing to transaction structuring and execution from diligence through closing.
  • Assist with hyperscale and colocation leasing, ground leases, build-to-suit arrangements, and other large-scale commercial leasing matters.
  • Coordinate title, survey, and project-level diligence and help manage the diligence process across active transactions.
  • Work with corporate, finance, tax, and energy and infrastructure teams on financing, M&A, tax, and related aspects of real estate deals.
  • Contribute to domestic and cross-border transactions, including joint ventures, platform investments, and related financings.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience in commercial real estate transactions at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, and/or real estate financings.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate principal transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture or development agreements.
  • Experience managing or coordinating transactional due diligence.
  • Data center leasing, ground lease, build-to-suit, or other large-scale commercial leasing experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively across practice areas, including corporate, finance, and tax.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a commercial mindset and interest in digital infrastructure and real estate.
