Our client is seeking a real estate associate with at least three years of commercial real estate transaction experience to join its Los Angeles team. The role focuses primarily on data center and digital infrastructure matters, with opportunities to contribute to other real estate transactions and collaborate across offices and practice areas.
The Work
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and financing documents for complex real estate transactions.
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and development of data center assets and platforms, contributing to deal execution from structuring through closing.
- Assist with commercial leasing matters, including hyperscale and colocation arrangements, ground leases, build-to-suit transactions, and other large-scale leasing.
- Coordinate title, survey, and project-level due diligence and help manage diligence processes across active transactions.
- Work with corporate, finance, tax, and energy and infrastructure colleagues on financing, M&A, tax, and other cross-practice aspects of transactions.
- Contribute to domestic and cross-border deals, including joint ventures, platform investments, and related financings.
What You Bring
- At least three years of commercial real estate transaction experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, and/or real estate financings.
- Ability to draft and negotiate principal transaction documents and manage diligence processes.
- Experience with data center leasing, ground leases, build-to-suit transactions, or other large-scale commercial leasing is highly preferred.
- Comfort collaborating across practice areas, including corporate, finance, and tax.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, a commercial mindset, and interest in digital infrastructure and real estate.
