Our client is seeking a real estate associate with 3–6 years of experience to support a deal-focused practice in New York City. The work centers on data center and digital infrastructure transactions, with opportunities to contribute to other complex commercial real estate matters.
The Work
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and financing documents for data center and other real estate matters.
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and development of data center assets and platforms, helping coordinate transaction work from structuring through execution.
- Work on commercial leasing arrangements, including hyperscale and colocation leases, ground leases, build-to-suit projects, and other large-scale leasing matters.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, including title, survey, and project-level diligence, and help identify and resolve issues as transactions progress.
- Contribute to joint ventures, platform investments, and real estate financings involving data center and digital infrastructure assets.
- Collaborate with corporate, finance, tax, and energy and infrastructure colleagues on related M&A, financing, tax, and cross-border aspects of transactions.
- Work with partners and deal teams on domestic and cross-border matters involving real estate, infrastructure, and technology.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience in commercial real estate transactions at a law firm or in-house legal department; candidates with 3–6 years are sought.
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, and/or real estate financings.
- Ability to draft and negotiate principal transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, and development agreements.
- Experience managing or coordinating transaction due diligence, including title, survey, or project-level review.
- Experience with data center leasing, ground leases, build-to-suit transactions, or other large-scale commercial leasing is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across practice areas, including with corporate, finance, and tax teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, a commercial mindset, and interest in the digital infrastructure and real estate landscape.

Estimated compensation for this search is $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
