Position overview

Our client is seeking a Real Estate Associate with at least three years of experience to join a corporate real estate practice in Costa Mesa. The practice advises a diverse range of clients on complex transactions in the United States and internationally, including matters in the hospitality and healthcare sectors.

The Work

  • Assist with complex real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including transactions involving large properties and property portfolios.
  • Work on joint ventures and development projects, supporting deal execution and drafting across the transaction lifecycle.
  • Contribute to real estate mergers and acquisitions and related corporate matters for real estate operating companies and investors.
  • Support real estate financings, including construction, mortgage, and mezzanine financing transactions.
  • Advise on matters involving a varied client base, including private equity and investment funds, public and private real estate companies, development partners, REITs, financial institutions, and institutional investors.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across offices and disciplines on transactions involving asset classes such as hospitality, healthcare, data centers, industrial, multifamily, office, and retail.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience handling complex real estate transactions.
  • Experience with real estate joint ventures, development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, real estate M&A, or financings.
  • Strong drafting skills and the ability to prepare and analyze transactional documents.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment in assessing real estate transactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and coordinate work across complex matters.
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the business of real estate investing.
