Our client is seeking mid-level and senior associates with at least four years of mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity experience to join its Costa Mesa practice. The opportunity involves sophisticated transactions and work for private equity firms and companies across the investment lifecycle.
The Work
- Contribute to private equity transactions from initial investment through exit, supporting clients and portfolio companies as they pursue strategic and financial objectives.
- Work on mergers and acquisitions ranging from routine engagements to complex, transformational transactions, with opportunities to contribute to sophisticated deal execution.
- Support cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spinoffs, and going-private transactions, including matters involving multi-billion-dollar transaction values.
- Assist with matters involving shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, and evolving regulatory considerations in connection with clients’ transaction goals.
- Work alongside colleagues across relevant disciplines, including capital markets, leveraged finance, tax, executive compensation, and ESG, to deliver coordinated client advice.
- Contribute to client-focused problem-solving by helping identify potential transaction challenges and develop pragmatic, commercially oriented solutions.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity.
- Experience working on M&A or private equity transactions, with an understanding of deal work across the investment lifecycle.
- Interest or experience in complex transaction types, including cross-border carve-outs, spinoffs, or going-private transactions.
- Ability to approach transaction matters with a focus on client objectives and practical commercial solutions.
- Readiness to work collaboratively across a broad platform and alongside professionals with complementary transactional and industry experience.
