Our client is seeking a corporate associate with at least two years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions to join its Boston practice. The opportunity is within a third- through sixth-year associate group and involves work across the private equity transaction lifecycle, from initial investment through exit.
The Work
- Contribute to deal teams advising on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, supporting clients’ strategic objectives from investment through exit.
- Work on sophisticated transaction structures, including cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spin-offs, and multi-billion-dollar going-private transactions.
- Support private equity firms and portfolio companies on transactions across industry-focused, growth equity, large-cap, and middle-market contexts.
- Coordinate with related capabilities in private equity finance, fund formation, capital markets, leveraged finance, and tax to support transaction execution.
- Assist with matters involving shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, and evolving regulatory requirements that may affect transaction strategy.
- Contribute to client matters drawing on board counseling, executive compensation, ESG, capital markets, and other related advisory capabilities.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
- Experience supporting corporate transactional matters and working through deal execution.
- Ability to contribute to transactions spanning private equity investments, acquisitions, and exits.
- Familiarity with complex transaction structures, such as carve-outs, spin-offs, or going-private transactions, is relevant to the practice’s work.
- Capacity to work across matters involving related finance, capital markets, tax, antitrust, and regulatory considerations.
