Our client is seeking a corporate associate with at least two years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions to join its San Francisco practice. The role offers exposure to sophisticated transactions and a broad client base across the private equity investment lifecycle.
The Work
- Advise private equity firms and portfolio companies on transactions across the investment lifecycle, from initial investment through exit.
- Contribute to M&A matters ranging from routine engagements to complex and transformational transactions, working with teams assembled around clients’ business objectives.
- Support execution of sophisticated cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spin-offs, and multi-billion-dollar going-private transactions.
- Work on private equity matters involving industry-focused, growth equity, large-cap, and middle-market strategies.
- Assist with matters involving shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, and evolving regulatory regimes as part of broader transactional advice.
- Collaborate with teams drawing on fund formation, private equity finance, M&A, and capital markets capabilities to support client transactions.
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
- Experience working on corporate M&A transactions and private equity deals.
- Ability to contribute to transactional work across the private equity lifecycle, including investments and exits.
- Relevant experience with sophisticated or cross-border transactions, including carve-outs, spin-offs, or going-private deals, is applicable.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary deal teams addressing complex client objectives.
