A confidential opportunity is available for an M&A associate in Houston with at least two full years of experience. The role focuses on company representation and strategic acquisitions within a corporate M&A practice with broad transactional and industry experience.
The Work
- Represent company clients in strategic acquisitions, helping advance transaction work in support of their business objectives.
- Contribute to M&A engagements ranging from routine transactions to complex, transformational deals, working through issues that arise during execution.
- Work with deal teams on sophisticated transaction types, including cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spinoffs, and going-private transactions.
- Help clients address shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, and evolving regulatory considerations in connection with their business objectives.
- Coordinate with related capabilities across board counseling, capital markets, ESG, executive compensation, leveraged finance, and tax to support client matters.
- Contribute to work for private equity firms and portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle, including transactions from initial investment through exit.
What You Bring
- At least two full years of mergers and acquisitions experience.
- Experience representing companies in M&A matters.
- Experience with strategic acquisitions.
- Knowledge of M&A transaction work, including the ability to help clients address deal-related execution challenges.
- Exposure to complex or cross-border transactions is relevant to the practice's work.
- Experience with private equity transactions, shareholder activism, antitrust issues, or regulatory considerations is relevant to the broader platform.
