Our client is seeking an associate with at least two full years of experience to join its Insurance M&A practice in New York City. The role is part of a global corporate M&A platform handling matters from routine engagements to complex, transformational transactions.
The Work
- Contribute to work within the Insurance M&A practice, drawing on a broader corporate M&A platform that advises on transactions across a range of complexity and scale.
- Work on matters connected to private equity investments and portfolio companies, including transactions at different stages of the investment lifecycle, from initial investment through exit.
- Gain exposure to sophisticated transaction types handled across the platform, including cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spin-offs, and multibillion-dollar going-private transactions.
- Participate in matters involving shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, and evolving regulatory regimes as clients pursue strategic business objectives.
- Work within a global M&A platform that brings together deal professionals and colleagues with industry, finance, tax, regulatory, and litigation experience.
- Support a practice offering clients a broad suite of advisory capabilities, including board counseling, capital markets, executive compensation, leveraged finance, and tax-related advice.
What You Bring
- At least two full years of legal experience.
- Associate-level experience appropriate for the practice’s 3rd–6th year associate class.
- A background aligned with corporate M&A and the Insurance M&A practice focus.
- Experience or demonstrated capability relevant to transactional work ranging from routine M&A engagements to complex, transformational matters.
- Ability to contribute to client matters involving private equity transactions and related strategic or regulatory considerations.
