Our client is seeking an associate with at least three years of emerging growth company experience to join its Boston Emerging Companies & Growth practice. The team advises startups, emerging companies, venture capital firms, and other institutional partners throughout the entrepreneurial company lifecycle.
The Work
- Advise startups and emerging companies on company formation and strategic matters as they build and grow their businesses.
- Work on equity and growth financings for companies and investors, including angel and seed investments and other venture financing structures.
- Support structured debt and equity solutions tailored to the needs of emerging companies and their institutional financing partners.
- Help counsel clients as they prepare for liquidity events, including public offerings and other paths to the public markets.
- Contribute to matters involving direct listings and deSPACs, drawing on the practice’s capital markets and M&A capabilities.
- Work with clients in innovation sectors that include technology and its subsectors, biotechnology and life sciences, and next-generation manufacturing.
- Engage with company and investor clients, including venture capital and growth equity firms, across a global platform.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience advising emerging growth companies.
- Experience or demonstrated familiarity with the needs of startups and emerging companies across stages of growth.
- Knowledge of company formation and equity or growth financing matters.
- Familiarity with venture capital investments, including angel, seed, or other financing structures.
- Interest or experience in public offerings, capital markets, M&A, or other liquidity events for emerging companies.
- Ability to work across matters involving companies, venture capital firms, and other institutional partners.
