Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Emerging Companies & Growth practice in Austin. The team advises startups and emerging companies, venture capital firms, and institutional investors on company formation, financings, strategic growth, and liquidity events.
The Work
- Advise startup and emerging company clients on formation and strategic matters, with guidance tailored to their stage of development and business objectives.
- Work on equity and growth financings for companies and investors, including angel and seed investments and venture and growth equity transactions.
- Assist with structured debt and equity solutions, supporting clients as they consider financing structures for different stages of company growth.
- Contribute to matters spanning a company’s lifecycle, from early-stage formation and financing through public offerings and other liquidity events.
- Support public-market and liquidity transactions, including direct listings and deSPACs, as well as related capital-markets and M&A work.
- Work with clients in innovation-driven industries, including technology and its subsectors, biotechnology and life sciences, and next-generation manufacturing.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience advising emerging growth companies.
- Experience with emerging-company or venture-capital matters, including company formation and financing transactions.
- Knowledge of equity financings and growth-capital transactions, including venture or growth equity structures.
- Ability to contribute to transactional work involving structured debt and equity solutions.
- Experience or interest in advising companies and investors across multiple stages of the company lifecycle.
- Exposure to technology, biotechnology and life sciences, or next-generation manufacturing is relevant to the practice.

Compensation & Benefits
An estimated base salary range for this search is $260,000–$390,000; it is an estimate, not a firm-stated range.
