Our client is seeking a corporate associate to join its Capital Markets Practice in Washington, D.C. The opportunity is geared to 3rd–6th year associates with at least two years of experience and meaningful corporate finance work, whether in capital markets or in debt finance.
The Work
- Advise on capital-raising transactions involving equity, high-yield debt, and hybrid securities offerings.
- Contribute to IPOs, direct listings, and other public-market transactions, addressing securities and listing issues as transactions progress.
- Support acquisition financings, syndicated term loans, and direct-lending arrangements for clients pursuing strategic investments and acquisitions.
- Work with issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks on complex corporate finance matters across industries.
- Engage with a Washington-based centralized National Office of former SEC senior officials and experienced capital markets lawyers on challenging securities and listing questions.
- Assist clients with financing strategies and capital-markets matters across changing markets and overlapping regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
- At least two years of associate experience; the opportunity is described for 3rd–6th year associates.
- Meaningful corporate finance experience and a practice focused primarily on relevant capital markets or debt finance work.
- Experience in equity, high-yield, and/or hybrid capital offerings, or in acquisition financings, syndicated term loans, and/or direct-lending arrangements.
- Ability to contribute to the execution of sophisticated financing and securities transactions.
- Experience addressing corporate finance, securities, or listing issues in a client-service setting.
