Our client is seeking a capital markets associate with at least three years of experience to join its Corporate Department in San Francisco. The role is intended for an associate entering the 4th- through 6th-year class and involves capital markets work and/or public company representation.
The Work
- Advise clients pursuing capital raises through securities offerings and other capital-markets transactions, working with issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks.
- Contribute to IPOs and direct listings, including work involving access to public markets and related securities and listing issues.
- Work on debt and equity capital-markets matters, including high-yield bonds and other securities products.
- Support capital-raising strategies used to fund strategic investments and acquisitions.
- Address complex securities and listing questions, including issues involving overlapping regulations and dynamic markets.
- Work across industries on transactions that may involve clients and matters extending across jurisdictions.
What You Bring
- At least three years of legal experience in capital markets and/or public company representation.
- Experience or substantive practice exposure involving securities and capital-markets matters.
- Knowledge of public-market transactions, including IPOs, direct listings, or other securities offerings.
- Familiarity with debt and equity financing matters, such as bond offerings or other capital-raising transactions.
- Ability to engage with securities, listing, and regulatory issues arising in corporate finance matters.
- Experience working with or advising issuers, private equity investors, or investment banks is relevant to the practice.
